Free to use · No advertising · Research based
We build iOS apps that put a measurable health model in people's hands — free, without advertising, and with the evidence behind every claim published alongside it.
They do not overlap. One is for swimmers, one is about what you eat and how you live, and one is about how you have been feeling.
Time a swim, keep a history of how long and how often you swim, and follow a six-month consistency programme.
Measures: swim length and swims per week.
Diet and lifestyleTwelve questions about food and daily habits, plus your height and weight, screening for visceral fat risk including the “skinny fat” pattern.
Measures: a food score, a lifestyle score, and BMI.
Psychological distressThe K10 distress scale, implemented exactly as published, with its standard scoring bands and a history of your scores.
Measures: a total distress score from 10 to 50.
Each app also has an optional research feature, off by default — how the research works.
No purchase, no subscription, no paid tier, and nothing held back. Every feature is there for everyone who downloads the app.
No ads and no advertising trackers. We never sell or share an individual's records with anyone.
Every model and scale comes from published research, and the sources are listed in full inside the app and on this site, so you can read them yourself.
Australian Psychological Research Pty Ltd is an Australian company that develops health and fitness apps for Apple users. Each app measures something specific, shows you what the measurement means, and cites the research it rests on.
The apps are self-funded. That is what lets them stay free and free of advertising, and it is why the research programme is an invitation rather than a condition of use.
